Jan Willem Bowdewyn Gunning

Jan Willem Bowdewyn Gunning is a South-African zoologist , born the September 3rd 1860 and dead the June 23rd 1913.

It directs the Transvaal Museum of 1896 to 1913 and is cofounder of the African Ornithologists' Union.

Alwin Karl Haagner (1880-1962) dedicates the to him Rouge-gorge of Gunning in 1909.
