Jan Rochussen Jacob

Jan Jacob Rochussen , born with Etten the October 23rd 1797 and died in $the Hague the January 21st 1871, is a politician Dutch.

He was a typical representative of the world of trade from Amsterdam, minister as well under Guillaume II as under Guillaume III.

In 1843, it was one of the Prime Ministers to being obliged to resign by the Lower House.

As a general governor of the the Eastern Indies Dutchwomen of 1845 with 1851, it actively brought under the authority Dutchwoman the areas which were not it yet.

In 1858, he became head of government and Minister for the colonies. Its preserving colonial policy found however little support and caused the fall of its government.
