Jan Kochanowski
Jan Kochanowski de Korwin (1530 - 1584) of aristocatic family, is a famous poet in Poland at the 16th century.
Biography
Jan Kochanowski studied with the Academy of Cracow (currently the Université Jagellonne), with the Université of Padoue and that of Königsberg. In its life, he much travelled and be the secretary of King Sigismond II August . He finished his life with Czarnolas.
He started to write in Latin, although the majority of its works are in Polish. He is known for his songs and poems. He is even the creator of the Polish poetic language. One considers it the most important poet of Poland, before the 19th century.
