Jan Asselyn
Jan Asselyn (1610 - September 28th 1652) was a Flemish painter .
Born with Antwerp, it was fixed at Amsterdam after having visited Rome, and painted battles, navy and landscapes, fascinating Claude Lorrain for model in the landscape, and imitating the Bamboche in the battles or the pieces of history.
Its color is clear and transparent, its free and firm key, its hot light.
The Musée of Louvre has four of its fabrics.
