Jan Arntzenius

Jan Anrtzenius (1702-1759) was a Dutch scholar
Born with Wesel, he was professor of history and eloquence to the athenaeum of Nimègue (1728), and occupied in 1742 the pulpit of Burmann with Franeker.
There is of him editions of Aurelius Victor (Amsterdam, 1733), Panégyrique of Trajan , by Pline (1738), of that of Pacatus (1753), and some original works, inter alia a curious treaty Of Fought habitabili (1726).
He is the brother of Otto Arntzenius, and the father of Jan Hendrick Arntzenius , which gave Sedulius (1761), Arator (1769) and the Panegyrici veteres (Utrecht, 1790).
