Jan Švankmajer

Jan Švankmajer (1934 -) is a Czech surrealist artist.

Its work relates to several media. It is better known apart from the Czech Republic for her animations, which considerably influenced other artists (of which the brothers Stephen and Timothy Quay). Its two most known work is probably Alice and Faust .

He is member of the artistic Cercle Mánes since 1992.
