Jammu
Jammu is an area with the south-west of the Cachemire and the name of its capital. It is also the second most important city of the Jammu-Kashmir, after Shrînâgar, and it was the capital of summer of time when the Cashmere was a sovereign state.
The city counted 230.000 inhabitants with the census of 1981.
Jammu is now one of the districts of the state of Jammu-Kashmir.
