Jamika Ajalon

Jamika Ajalon alias JAMIKA is a visual poetess, auteure, film producer and works, and musician.

Biography

Its poems and news appear in many anthologies and re-examined, in particular “Velocity” by After and Snakes , and " Kin" , collection of black and Asian writers by Serpents Bruises . Its short films were projected in the festivals through Europe and the United States, and it carried out works for Chanel 4 in the United Kingdom. It also produced its mixtures of installations and visual and musical improvisation in Austria and England. Actress, it turned in “Go fish” in 1994, of the American director Pink Troche.

As a musician, it occurred in the whole world, from Chicago to Montreal (Jazz festival of Montreal), while passing by Austin (South by South West Festival), New York, London (Cargo liner), Paris (the Cicada), Austria and Africa (Shrinemania turn in Uganda) with the Urban Poets , Tony Allen Band and The Shrine. Especially, it has accompanied for several years the group by dub instrumental French Zenzile, on scene and in their recordings, after they devoted the opus " to him; 5+1 Zenzile meets Jamika". She is regarded as the sixth member of Zenzile.

Its first album solo: " Helium Balloon Illusions" to France the March 5th 2007 left: a digest of influences mixing the Hip hop with the electro, the Dub with the Spoken Word S.
