Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic

The Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic is a tournament of female Golf of LPGA Tour. This test was created in 1984 and disputes with Sylvania in the Ohio (the United States) in July. Sylvania finds not far from Toledo.

This tournament was created by the old caddie of the PGA Judd Sullivan which wished to install a female test in its birthplace, Toledo. He contacted the actor Jamie Farr, also native of the city to help it to find sponsors. The tournament which bears the name of this actor organizes a series of caritative events having generated more than 4,8 million dollars of benefit since 1984 for the children of the south of Ohio and the north of the Michigan.

Of 1984 with 1986, the tournament was played Glengarry Country Club. Since 1987, it is the course of Highland Meadows Golf Club which accommodates the tournament.

Edition 2007 is held of the 9 with the July 15th with tournament LPGA starting from the 12. The juniors (9 and 10) and the celebrities (tournament pro-amndts 11) will occupy the course before the 12.
