James Potter

Character of the saga Harry Potter, written by J.K. Rowling.

It was born on March 27th, 1960.

It is the father of Harry Potter and the husband of Lily Potter. His wife and were killed to him by Voldemort at the time of the first war while wanting to protect their son. The place where they hid had been revealed by Peter Pettigrow (alias Queudver) a friend of Potter rejoined with the cause of Voldemort.

He was the best friend of Sirius Black and all two were the best pupils of the school according to Remus Lupin, and both liked to ridicule Severus Rogue, from where the hatred of this last towards James and Harry which resembles like two drops of water his/her father. James, Sirius, Remus and Peter are the petty thieves. It is them which created the chart of the same name used by the twins Weasley then by Harry.

James Potter is a Animagus not declared and its animal is the stag, from where its nickname Cornedrue and the Patronus of Harry in the shape of stag. It is, like his son, a former student of Gryffondor.

He was member of the first Ordre of the Phoenix.

Years later Harry gives the name of James to his oldest son.
