James Peake

James B. Peake (born the June 18th 1944), is a Lieutenant-general, doctor and American Politician . Appointed Secretary with the War veterans by George W. Bush, the October 30th 2007 to succeed Gordon H. Mansfield. It must be confirmed by the Sénat.

Once confirmed, he will become the first doctor and the first general to take up this duty.

Biography

He is graduate Military academy of West Point and he follows a medical formation to the Université Cornell.

He fights at the time of the Guerre of Vietnam.

In 2000, it is named by Bill Clinton (confirmed in September 2000) at the post of doctor as a chief of the armies, function which it occupies until in 2004.
