James H. Doolittle

James Harold Doolittle (December 14th 1896 - September 27th 1993) is an American pilot which made career in USAAF and finishes with the rank of Général.

It received the Médaille of Honor of the Congress (Medal Of Honor) in 1942.

It gains the edition 1925 of the Coupe Schneider on a Curtiss R3C-2.

It gains in 1932 the Trophé Thompson with the orders of the Gee Bee R-1.

It is distinguished then during the Second world war by setting up the bombardment on the Japan from the April 18th 1942, entered the history under the name of Raid of Doolittle. Thereafter, it orders inter alia the 12th USAAF (September 23rd 1942 - March 1st 1943) and the 15th USAAF (November 1st, 1943 - January 3rd 1944). After the Second world war, it takes part in the Guerre of Korea.
