James Dunn

James Howard Dunn (November 2nd, 1905 - September 3rd, 1967) was a American Acteur .

After good starts ( Bad Girl , Society Girl , Hello, Sister! …) with the beginning of the year 1930, it had to fight against the Alcoolisme. However, its performance in the Lily of Brooklyn in 1945 was worth the to him Oscar of the best actor in a supporting role. Ironically, its role in this film was that of an alcoholic.

Its successes were short and, during the years 1950, it became Chômeur, without the penny, and sank again in alcoholism.

He was married with the actress Frances Gifford of 1938 with 1942.

He died of complications following an operation with the stomach.

Two stars bearing its name appear on the Walk off Famed of Hollywood, one for its career with the cinema, the other for its roles on television.
