Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy is a Video game of platform left in 2001, developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment on PlayStation 2.

Scenario

Jak and Daxter are two friends who live in the village of sands. One day, whereas they returned on island close, named Island of Fog (probably because of the thick clouds which surrounds it), thus facing the prohibition of wise Samos, they could observe a gathering of Lurker, left deformed monsters which will become the principal enemies of the two friends throughout the play. The two accomplices then decide to escape and take the way of the return, when Daxter falls into a well containing from Éco black and is seen transformed into Beloutre (kind of animal resembling a mixture between weasel and otter). Of return to the village of Sands, Samos, informed of the situation, explains to them whereas only wise Gol, expert in Éco black, is able to return in Daxter its usual form, but that this Gol lives far from the village, towards north. Moreover, the gates of teleportation allowing a fast voyage between the residences of wise seem all closed, which leaves of another choice only take the road, on a way difficult and strewn with obstacles. Then begin for Jak a long voyage before the cure of his/her friend.

The first stage of this voyage will take along Jak towards the Village of Pierre, where Wise Blue resides, once the Canyon of Fire which separates the two crossed villages, which will be made on board a flying vehicle named Anti-Grav Zoomer, conceived by the girl of Samos, Kiera. Once on the spot, Jak is informed of the threat which planes on the peaceful village: a giant Lurker, named Klaww, continuously sends rocks ignited on the dwellings, and seems given to leave behind him only one field of ruins. Moreover, Wise Blue seems to have disappeared without leaving of trace. Jak will end finally up beating Klaww, putting thus fine at the nightmare of the villagers.

The continuing tour, the two friends move towards the Volcanic Crater, where the Wise Red elected residence. He learns whereas the Wise ones, except for Samos, all were captured by the commanders of the Lurker, which prove to be Gol and his/her Maia sister, the only able ones to look after Daxter of his metamorphosis. The two accomplices continue their voyage then, decided to put a term at the intrigues of Gol, and arrive at the laboratory of the Wise Yellow, joined by Keira once the gate of teleportation of the Wise Yellow given in operating condition. She then teaches them the news from the removal of Samos, which thus joined three the other Wise ones in their captivity.

Lastly, the last stage of their voyage carries out them inside the citadel of Gol and Maia, where Jak managed to deliver the wise ones of their imprisonment. They also found there silos filled with éco black, that Gol was apparently on the point of pouring on the world. However, thanks to the capacities of the four wise ones joined together and with the éco of light that the wise ones managed to synthesize, Jak could finally carry a fatal blow in Gol and its sister, and put a term at their disastrous intentions.

Main characters

Jak is young a 15 year old boy, fair with the blue eyes and of a courage without fault. Better friend of Daxter, it will undertake a long voyage to find Gol, the only being able to make his aspect human to his companion.

Daxter was formerly human small, with large russet-red hair. After being fallen in a well from Eco black, it was transformed into Beloutre (mixture between a weasel and an otter). He is the best friend of Jak and passes all the adventure on the shoulder of his companion. It is a comic and very pretentious character.

Keira , the girl of Samos, is pretty a 14 year old young woman, in love with Jak. Genius of mechanics, it invented Anti-GraV Zoomer.

Samos Hagaï is one the five wise present in the world of Jak. Expert in Eco green (related on nature and the plants), it will advise Jak and Daxter all along their adventure.

Gol Acheron is wise having a great knowledge of the black éco, at the point of being able to cancel the harmful effects of them. It is, for this reason, the only alive person able to return in Daxter its initial form. Unfortunately, the long-term study of Eco black ended up making it insane, and its ambition is from now on to pour of Eco black on the world in order to be able to reorganize it with its taste.

Maïa Acheron is the sister of Gol. Just like his/her brother whose it shares the projects, the black study of Eco finished by him making lose the reason.

Gameplay

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy is a Jeu of platform in the line of Crash Bandicoot . The two plays were consequently created development team.

the Méca-Flies , sent by Keira in each level, also make it possible to obtain piles of energies. The player must find 7 of them to have a pile of energy.
a Eco Bleu makes it possible to the character more quickly to move. It also makes it possible to activate précursors objects.
a Eco Rouge makes it possible to send 3 Lurker to ground at the same time.
a Eco Jaune makes it possible to draw remotely.
a Eco Verte makes it possible to increase the points of life of the character.
a Eco Noire explodes in contact with the character.
the Eco de Lumière is the rarest éco of the universe of Jak. It is synthesized by the four wise ones joined together and is used at the end it play to destroy the final boss.
