Jairzinho

Jair Ventura Filho , more known under the name of Jairzinho , was a Football or Brésilien born the December 25th 1944 with Rio de Janeiro. Its principal claim to fame is to have belonged to the team of victorious Brazil of the World cup 1970 during which it had succeeded in the exploit to mark during all the meetings of the final stage (7 goals on the whole).

Career of player

In club

Jairzinho made its professional beginnings with the 15 years age with the club of Botafogo de Futebol E Regatas. He played sometimes offensive medium but he excelled rather like left winger.

He left then to France to join the rows of the Olympique of Marseilles. But its passage was of short duration, it joined then the club of Cruzeiro.

Jairzinho finished its career in 1982 after having played in several clubs with the Venezuela, Brésil and Bolivia.

In national team

Jaizinho made its international beginnings in 1964, it was 19 years old only, at the time of a match of the team of Brazil against that of the Portugal. It took part in the World cup 1966, then with the World cup 1970 where it appeared with the whole world.

It continued to play then in the team of Brazil, in particular during the World cup 1974, but it did not gain an other title.

Jaizinho played its last international match in March 1982, the team of Brazil met that of Czechoslovakia.

During its international career it marked 34 goals during 82 meetings.

Career of trainer

Once its career of player finished, Jairzinho was then trainer of national team or club, in particular of the team of Gabon. Its greater success was undoubtedly to have discovered Ronaldo whereas it involved the team of Sao Cristovao. It recommenda Ronaldo with its old club of Cruzeiro, which made it possible to launch the career of the Brazilian wonder.
