Jagraon is a subdivision (Tehsil) of the zone of Ludhiana, a city of the Penjab (India), which has more than five centuries. The original name of the city was the “aon of Jagar”, which means “place of large flood”, although this flood since ceased. Jagraon is located almost at the geographical center of the state of Pendjab, with 16 kilometers of the river Satluj. The company, like often in Pendjab, is basically agrarian. Jagraon is also the seat of one of the zones of police force of Pendjab.

Jagraon is connected by rail and road. It is located at the junction of the trunk roads No 95 and 71. The closest airports are: Halwara (16 kilometers), Sahnewal (45 kilometers) and Adampur (70 kilometers). The international ports closest are international airport of Das of RAM of guru, Rajasansi (150 kilometers), Wagha Landport (border with Pakistan) (162 kilometers) and international airport of Indira Gandhi, New Delhi (360 kilometers).
