Jafar Pishevari
Seyyed Jafar Pishevari جعفرپیشهوری was the founder and the president of the Gouvernement of the people of Azerbaïdjan (November 1945 - November 1946).
It was born with Khalkhal (in the Iranian Azerbaïdjan) and became journalist in the years 1920.
He was political prisoner during some time under the mode of the Shah. He was candidate with the Majles (Parliament Iranian), but its candidature was refused by the leaders. Pishevari was leading Democratic party Azerbaïdjani.
Pishevari, with the support of the Soviet Union, founded the autonomous republic known under the name of Gouvernement of the people of Azerbaïdjan in November 1945. After the fall of this transitory republic, he flees in Republic of Azerbaïdjan and dies in a crash landing of plane with Bakou in 1947.
