Jadranka Kosor , born on July 1st 1953 with Pakrac in Croatia, is a political woman Croatian.

After having completed its studies of right in 1972, Kosor worked as journalist. During the war in Croatia between 1991 and 1995 it is particularly interested in the problems of the refugees and veterans of war. In 1995 it is elected at the Croatian Parliament as a deputy of the Croatian democratic Union (HDZ). Later, Kosor became vice-president of the Parliament.

Since 2003 Kosor is Minister for the Family, Solidarity between the generations and the War veterans in the government of Ivo Sanader.

In 2005 it loses with the presidential election vis-a-vis Stipe Mesic with 34  % of the voices to the second turn.
