Jad Wio

Biography

Group French created in 1982 by Denis Bortek, joined very quickly by Christophe K-Bye. The group flirté through its albums with various musical genres (Batcave, Rock, French song, Electro) and sets of themes (Sado-masochisme for Contact , Blade Runner for Fleur de Métal , the horror film on Monstre …), without never to lose its coherence.

The great force of Jad Wio lies as much in the written texts, often in French, by Denis Bortek, in whom is distilled an elegant perversion ( Ophélie is zoophile , the love with haste , the abuse oneself …), in the unslung inventiveness of K-Bye to the guitar, that in the quality of the scenic of the duet, at the same time savages and theatrical services.

It is what ensures the group fidelity without faults of its public of the first years, in spite of a music which moved away for a long time from its sources, and which sails more and more in the pop rock'n'roll. It is that on scene, Jad Wio incontestably remained a group of rock'n'roll, with the same atmosphere cabaret of its beginnings, " décadente" one in literature would say, and especially same paradoxical freshness.

During a short period of separation, after the album Monster , Denis left an album solo, Bortek (1997). The group was reformed with the third millennium, with a new album Nu Key Pop Air in 2005, then, in 2007, blazing it Sex Magik.
