Jacques de Larosière de Champfeu , born the November 12th 1929 with Paris, French senior official.
Former student of the Institute of political studies of Paris (section Public service, promotion 1950), it chooses the body of the General inspection of Finances to leaving the National school of administration (promotion 1958). He makes career with the Direction of the Treasury then to the ministry for the Economy and Finances. When he assumes this wallet in 1974, Valery Giscard d'Estaing chooses it as principal private secretary. There remain five months at this station before being appointed director of the Treasury, posts that he preserves until in 1978.
It is then named managing director of the Fonds international currency (1978-1987), then governor of the Banque de France (1987-1998) before assuming, in 1993, the presidency of the European Banque for the rebuilding and the development. The same year, the May 3rd 1993, it is elected with the general section of the Academy of Science morals and political, with the armchair of the cardinal Henri de Lubac.
Since 1998, date completion of its mandate to the BERD, he is adviser near Michel Pébereau, president of BNP Paribas.
