Jacques de Callières
Jacques de Callières , or Caillières , born with Thorigny at the end of and died with Thorigny in 1697, is a Militaire and man of letters French.
Jacques de Callières was marshal of the battles of the armies of the King, governor of the city and the castle of Cherbourg of 1644 with 1662. Its principal work was the Histoire of Jacques of Matignon which gives many details on the wars of religion in Normandy.
