Jacques de Cahaignes
Jacques de Cahaignes , born in 1548 with Caen where he died in 1612, was the pupil and translator of Julien Paulmier de Grantemesnil and, like him, a Médecin and Norman professor .
He was also the vice-chancellor of the Université of Caen. He is writer of the statutes of the medical college of this city and author of various works. Its currency was “ Non is mortale quod opto ”.
It was dependant with many scientists, in particular with Joseph Scaliger. The work of Paulmier Treated wine and sidre finishes on some of its letters, addressed in Latin to various doctors of Paris.
