Jacques de Bourbon Busset was the pen name of the writer and diplomatic French, of the French Academy, Jacques de Bourbon, “count de Busset”. It was born on April 27th 1912 with Paris and died on May 7th 2001 in Paris.
Going down from the barons de Busset (connects illegitimate exit of the dukes of Bourbon capétiens), the aïeux rich person famous ones such as holy Louis, Jean without Peur, César Borgia, the mathematician Laplace or the general of the Empire Auguste de Colbert-Chabanais, Jacques de Bourbon Busset is the son of François de Bourbon, “count de Busset”, and of Guillemette de Colbert-Chabanais. After studies with the College Henri-Iv, it enters to the National university in 1932. Received with the contest of the Quay of Orsay, it becomes embassy attach3e to the direction of Europe. Jacques de Bourbon Busset takes part as officer in the Second world war. Captive fact, it is held in Germany and tries by twice escaping. In August 1944, the Général de Gaulle appoints it president of the French Croix-Rouge. It then starts long and brilliant diplomatic career.
In 1948 it is named assistant editor of the cabinet of Robert Schuman, Foreign Minister then principal private secretary. In 1952 he becomes managing director of the cultural relations with the foreigner. In December 1956, it decides to put an end to its community activities to devote itself only to its passion: the writing. Inspired by his wife, Laurence Ballande, it writes the Book of Laurence . Living the Castle of Saussay and mayor of the Ballancourt-on-Essonne, it directs the exploitation of the agricultural domain with his wife. It becomes national president of the Catholic aid in 1961 and vice-president of the European Center of nuclear research (CERN) in Geneva, from which it took an active part in the foundation. It takes part in work of the Center of Exploratory studies founded by Gaston Berger. He was also member of the jury of the historical price of literature Hugues Capet of the Association Unit Capétienne.
Starting from 1969, it is withdrawn in its property in High-Provence with Salernes, where it writes without slackening by showing cantor of the marital love ( durable Love , Laurence de Saintonge ) and of an honest frankness to the antipodes from the ambiguous attitudes from the policy, as formerly Robert Schuman which it readily quotes in example in his Journal .
He is elected with the French Academy on June 4th 1981. In 1984 his Laurence wife dies; it then returns to settle in Ballancourt.
