As of Feastday and Playtime , the films of Jacques Tati have an increasing success. This last film requires important investments however, and proves more expensive than initially envisaged, because of administrative constraints, and than the success of this film (however the most popular of number of entries of all on this date) cannot be enough to cover. Jacques Tati must reduce his ambitions thereafter: Traffic , although projected in room, is conceived at the beginning to be a Téléfilm. The realizer cannot assemble his last feature film, Parade , that with the assistance of Swedish television.
In spite of the apparent absence of dialog, or perhaps precisely it to compensate for, Jacques Tati carries a care meticulous person to the bands of his films. There exist thus english language versions of several of its films, of which Holidays of Mr. Hulot , and My uncle , which the english language version My Uncle left to France in 2005.
