Jacques Santer

Jacques Santer , born the May 18th 1937, is a politician Luxembourg.

Political career

He exerted the functions of Prime Minister of the Grand-Duché of Luxembourg of 1984 with 1995, before chairing, of 1995 with 1999, the European commission.

He then was of February 2002 in June 2003 one of the a hundred and five members of the Convention on the future of Europe charged to write the Traité establishing a Constitution for Europe.

He was member of the Trilateral Commission

Career in the economy

One year after having left the presidency of the European commission, Jacques Santer entered the board of directors of General Mediterranean Holdings (GenMed). He is in addition chairman of the board of the Musée of modern art Large-Duke Jean (Mudam).
