Jacques Sallebert

Jacques Sallebert , born the October 20th 1910 with Paris and deceased the November 27th 2000 1997 with Mougins, was a French journalism which officiated in particular with the Télévision.

He commented on the first sporting report on line diffused on television: the arrival of the Tour de France 1948 with the Park of the Princes (July 25th 1948). With Pierre Sabbagh, Pierre Dumayet, Pierre Tchernia and Georges de Caunes, it belongs to the pioneers of the tele newspaper starting from 1949.

It becomes correspondent war for Combat, Le Monde and Le Figaro by covering the conflicts in Israel, Indo-China, Indonesia, China, Yugoslavia and Korea.

Named directing of the offices of ORTF to New York, it inaugurated in 1962 the transatlantic connection via the satellite TELSTAR 1 INA.

It presents the club of the press on Antenne 2 in the Années 1970 and of the information of 1975 with 1976 becomes about it director.

Among the works which it published, quote its memories entitled Between the tree and the bark (1975).
