Jacques Rozier
Jacques Rozier is a French realizer, born the November 10th 1926 with Paris.
After its studies with IDHEC, it carries out its first court-measurings in the Années 1950.
Its first feature film, Filipino Good-bye , turned in 1960, presented to Cannes two years later, could be regarded as a key element of the New wave.
For Pascal Thomas, “Rozier is a singular in the century. It is believed that it prevents itself, but they is false. He lives in the moment, and this manner of living does not coincide any more with the requirements of this trade, where the dictatorship of the scenario, which determines only the financing of film, became terribly harmful. ”
In 1997, the whole of its cinematographic work is distinguished by the Prix Rene Clair.
