Jacques Roergas de Serviez

Jacques Roergas de Serviez is a historian and French man of letters, born in 1679 with Saint-Gervais-on-Pond (Herault), there deceased in January 1727.

Lawyer, knight of the orders of Notre-Dame of Montcarmel and Saint Lazare of Jerusalem (1726), he is mainly the author of:

  • Roman Empresses, or History of the life and the secret intrigues of the women of the twelve Césars ;
  • famous Men of Languedoc , whose it published only the first volume (1723).

He is the grandfather of EM of Served.
