Jacques Mistral , born on September 22nd 1947, is a French economist, and professor of the universities. He is member of the economic Conseil of analysis (CAE) and of the Cercle of the economists.

Formation

Jacques Mistral is a former student of the Polytechnic school (promotion 1967), science doctor economic (1977) and aggregate of the Faculty of Law and economic scenes (1977).

Former functions

Jacques Mistral accumulated several functions of professor: he exerted first of all as professor with the Université Paris-North of 1978 to 1992, while becoming director-assistant of ENSAE (National school of the statistics and the economic administration) of 1981 to 1988 then professor with the Institut of political studies of Paris of 1982 to 1995, lecturer to the Polytechnic school of 1983 to 1993.

He are entrusted, in addition, of the posts of economic council near the ministers. Thus he becomes economic council of the Prime Minister, Michel Rocard of 1988 to 1991 then special adviser (economic policies and international relations) of the Minister for the Economy, Finances and Industry, Laurent Fabius of 2000 to 2001.

Meanwhile he exerted in company, as central director of the Groupe AXA, in particular operational director for the Asia-Pacific zone, director of human resources (France), directing AXAFrance plan-budget-results of 1992 to 2000.

Current functions

Jacques Mistral is member of the economic Conseil of analysis (CAE) since 2006, which it also was between 2000 and 2002. He is member of the Economic council of Defense, of the Council of CEPII, the Cercle of the economists and chronicler with Traditional Radio.

He exerted several functions on the other side of the Atlantic, of which that of Advising financial with the embassy from France to Washington (since 2001), and of Senior fellow in John F. Kennedy School off Government of the Université of Harvard, after 2005.
