Jacques Mesrine
Jacques Mesrine (December 28th 1936, Clichy - November 2nd 1979, Paris). Gangster French having asserted about thirty assassinations, it was called “the man with the 100 faces”. Declared “public enemy number one” at the beginning of the Years 1970, it is in particular known for mediatized Braquage S and its escape S.
Biography
Wire of tradesmen, it is with Clichy (to the 5 of the avenue Anatole France) that it grows and that it starts to attend the popular quarters of the capital.
During the war in Algérie, it is brought, in its eyes, to behave as cruelly with the colonized people as the German soldiers had done it with his/her parents when he was child. It kills under the order of the Republic. It will keep of it a hatred against the company which will not leave it any more. It is during the war of Algeria that Mesrine will take a special 45 on one of its victims and will bring back it to France. It will constantly have it on him.
It takes part in many burglings as of the 23 years age.

Decree, it escapes from prison and turns over in France where it makes many holds-up. He manages nevertheless to escape from it the May 8th 1978, accompanied by François Besse and Carman Rives (this last will be cut down by the round). The conditions of its escape remain not elucidated to date.
He directs afterwards the casino Deauville little time with his companion of mare, François Besse. The steering turns badly but the two escaped prisoners manage to flee. He continues the steerings (as that of the General society of Drancy) while the police force remains impotent to locate it. Mesrine nargue authorities by giving talks to journalists. The June 21st 1979, it removes the billionaire Henri Lelièvre and obtains a ransom of 6 franc million. Its notoriety involves a Guerre of the police forces between Lucien Aime-White chief of the OCRB and Robert Broussard chief of commando, to stop it. The November 10th 1978, it tries to remove Petit judge, who had condemned it to 20 years of prison in 1977: it is a failure, but he manages nevertheless to flee.
In September 1979, Mesrine tightens an ambush with the journalist of Minute , Jacques Tillier, tortures it, seriously wounds it by balls while drawing to him in the cheek and leaves it for death. Indeed, this one had defamed it by telling that Mesrine was not a person " réglo" with its associates.
The death of Mesrine
At the end of October 1979, the police chief Broussard reference mark the apartment of Mesrine street Belliard, in the 18th district of Paris. Friday November 2nd 1979, Mesrine is at the wheel of its car BMW; it is encircled by the men of the Research brigade and intervention, Porte of Clignancourt, in Paris. A covered truck which was involved in front of its vehicle dissimulates gunners, which open fire on him and his/her partner. One will find nineteen impacts of balls in his body. It is killed in possession of grenades and handguns. His/her partner, seriously wounded, loses an eye in the shooting. Its death is a first case of questioning of the self-defense with respect to the police force, which would have opened fire without summation.
One recalls however to this occasion a warning of Mesrine with Broussard: “When we meet again, it will be with that which will draw the first”.
October 6th, 2006, the French Court of appeal declared inadmissible the Appeal of the Mesrine family following the marked Non-lieu on December 1st, 2005 by the room of instruction of the Court of Appeal of Paris.
It is buried with the Northern cemetery of Clichy, the city which saw it being born.
BMW green metallized of Jacques Mesrine remained with the seals of justice 28 years in a fourriére in Bonneuil-sur-Marne before being crushed in a breakage Of Athis-Mons on May 14th, 2007.
