Jacques Lorcey
Jacques Lorcey is an actor, director and historian of the Théâtre French.
The actor
Born on May 6th, 1938 with Valencians (Northern - 59). The family of its father is originating in Sète since the beginning of the XVIIIè century. His/her father and his grandfather were both Saint-Cyriens officers. The family of its mother is of Breton origin since centuries. Spends the years of war 39-45 to Vannes (Morbihan - 56), where it begins on scene at 4 years like small dancer. Secondary studies in Paris (Buffon College) and Baden-Baden (Germany - Charles de Gaulle College). Academic works in Strasbourg. First Vat B (German-English), second Vat Philosophy; Certificate of Traditional General Literary Studies (Propaedeutics); Certificate of Preparatory Studies of Egyptology, mention Well (high of professor Jean Leclant) in 1958. House master (pawn) to the French college Turenne de Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany). Professor de Lettres and of History to the college of Guebwiller (Alsace).Create in 1956 a jazz band New-Orleans which plays Baden-Baden and Freiburg (it holds the battery). Organizer of the theatrical troop of the Assistance with Lengthened (Strasbourg). Director-founder of the Young Comedy of Strasbourg (which plays Molière and Musset). Theatrical person in charge of the Group Young Strasbourg (vault of the Pizzeria). First seal in 1958 for a figuration on television German in an adaptation of the Fabien of Marcel Pagnol. Begin with the Opera from Strasbourg (appearing, chorus-singer, then soloist: Boris Godounow , Leaflet , the Girl of the Drum Major , Tales of Hoffmann , Fidelio , Three Waltz ). Several dramatic (13) on Radio operator Strasbourg. Sing and says poems on television local.

After the French Comedy, Jacques Lorcey must direct two arts centres in turn: in Bois Doves, then with Charenton-the-Bridge. No promise will be held, no subsidy will not be allotted to him. In 1967, it creates its own company, which will be selected three years of following the Contest of the Young Companies of Valence. Its first spectacle will be Don Juan de Molière, in homage to Jean Vilar, whom he regards as his spiritual Master in this field.

Press and political
Jacques Lorcey ensured the artistic director of the theatrical festival the traditional Meetings of Orange created by him in 2001, until his ousting by Jacques Bompard in 2007 for mysterious reasons. He estimates that a " baladin" has the same rights as the other citizens - and the same duties - but must abstain from holding up signs in the exercise of primarily apolitical activities.
