Jacques Kalisz

Jacques Kalisz (September 6th 1926 with Minsk (Poland) - March 5th 2002) is a French architect

Participant of the innovative and multi-field movement of the AUA - Workshop of town planning and architecture, of which he was member of 1963 to 1972, seedbed of the talents of the red belt, before to have even obtained its diploma.
Its first major realization was the administrative center of Puppet, located on the channel of Ourcq, the building, completed in 1972, remained like one of the best examples of architecture known as " brutalist ".
Antoinette Robain and Claire Gueysse, one coming from to Christian Hauvette, the other of in Jean Nouvel, were selected as architects to take again the work of Jacques Kalisz, and to transform it into national center of the dance (inaugurated in 2004 and Prix of the Money Square 2004).
