Jacques Joseph Baudrillart

Jacques Joseph Baudrillart , Forest agronomist and French, born in 1774 with Givron in the the Ardennes and died in 1832.

It in its youth was employed at the travelling hospitals, benefitted from its voyages for étuder the installation of the forests in Germany, acquired on this part of invaluable knowledge which gave him entered the forest administration, and there became in 1819, head of division.

In addition to translations of the German , one in particular owes him several works which make authority:

  • a general Treated of National Forestry Commission, huntings and fishings (10 volumes in-4 1821 - 1834), which contains, with a chronological collection of the forest Règlements since 1719;
  • of the Dictionaries of National Forestry Commission, huntings and fishings .

It published:

  • the forest Code (1827);
  • the Code of fishing (1829);
  • the forest Memorial , the forest Directory .
