Jacques IV of Scotland
Jacques IV of Scotland , ( Seumas IV in Scottish Gaelic) born in 1473, dead the September 9th 1513, king d' Écosse of 1488 with 1513, wire of Jacques III of Scotland and Marguerite of Denmark.
Biography
Jacques IV of Scotland was at the sides of the feudatories who killed his father with the battle of Sauchieburn in 1488.
King at 15 years, it undertook to join again with the England and a peace treaty was signed with it in 1502, the first since 1328.
The August 8th 1503, it married, with Edinburgh, Marguerite Tudor, girl of Henri VII of England and Elisabeth of York, marriage which opened the rights of Jacques VI of Scotland on the crown of England.
But with the come to power of Henri VIII of England, the reports/ratios are degraded and the war burst in 1513. Jacques IV was killed with the Bataille of Flodden Field, the September 9th 1513. It is also it should be noted that it was the last but one Scottish king with speaking the Gaélique about Scotland.
From its union were born 4 children:
- Jacques Stuart Duke of Rothesay (1507-1508)
- Arthur Stuart Duke of Rothesay (1509-1510)
- Jacques V of Scotland
- Alexandre Stuart Duke of Ross (1514-1515)
It in addition had several illegitimate children of its mistresses

- Alexandre Stuart Archbishop of Saint-Andrews born in 1493 and killed the September 9th 1513 with the Battle of Flodden Field,
- Catherine Stuart marries of James Douglas Count de Morton
- James Stuart Count de Moray (1499+1544)
- Margaret Stuart born in 1497 marries 1) in 1512 John Gordons 2) John Drummond
- Jane Stuart (born towards 1510 died towards 1562) wife Malcolm Fleming and favorite of Henri II of France.
