Jacques Godbout (November 27th 1933 with Montreal, Quebec -), is Romancier, Poète, Essayiste, Dramaturge, writer for children and Cinéaste. He became with the passing of years one of the most important writers of his generation, especially influencing the Quebec of the Quiet revolution.

Biography

He makes his traditional studies among Jesuits with the Collège Jean-with-Brébeuf. He obtains a control in letters of the Université of Montreal into 1954 before teaching the French with the Université of Addis-Abéba in Ethiopia until 1957.

Of return to Canada in 1958, it becomes advertizing before entering to the National office of film of Canada as a Cinéaste - Scénariste. It takes part in several films, of which IXE-13 (1971) and Gammick .
