Biography

Born in 1947, Jacques Garcia discovers young person his facilities for the Dessin and its fascination for the objects of Art. At eight years, Jacques Garcia built and arranges his first hut in his grandparents. It is quite naturally that it moves towards a school of Architecture of interior which it supplements by a formation with the Trades of Article.

Within the framework of the Agency where it begins, it specializes in the Contemporary architecture, by in particular carrying out the interior concepts of the Tour Montparnasse and the Meridian Hotels.

It has also a heart of Collectionneur and China in order to gather what the French revolution dispersed, in a Collection royal pieces of furniture and objects.

Jacques Garcia is commander in the Ordre of Arts and Lettres and Chevalier in the Order of the Légion of Honor.

Become the interior designer of the restaurants and hotels Costes, Majestic or of Fouquet' S, Jacques Garcia acquires the Château of Field-of-Battles in Normandy and undertakes to restore it with its manner: in the style Garcia .

After twelve years of work and investments, Field-of-Battles incarnates today the realization of all its desires: at the same time museum devoted to its collections of objects. Outside, the park is planted of 60.000 boxwood, 10.000 hedges, 35.000 yews, 2.500 limes and of a hundred palm trees.
