Jacques Ferrandez

Jacques Ferrandez is an author French of Cartoon born the December 12th 1955 with Algiers, Algérie and which lives in the south of France.

After some little stories written with Rodolphe, of which one which will become a series (Raffini), Jacques Ferrandez starts at Casterman by publishing Arrière-pays then Nouvelles country, little stories typically of Provence, before launching its principal series, Carnets of the East. In parallel of this series, Jacques Ferrandez remains in the universe of Provence and attacks traditional French literature: country of Pagnol, its dramas, its loves with the cycle of the water of the hills.

In October 1998, on a scenario of Tonino Benacquista, Jacques Ferrandez drew the outremangor, then the block box in October 2000.

Jacques Ferrandez collaborates also regularly in illustrations of notebooks of voyage: The visited hill, trams of Sarajevo.
