Jacques February
Jacques February (July 26th 1900 - September 2nd 1979), Pianist French.
Jacques February was the pupil of Edouard Risler and Marguerite Length with the Conservatoire of Paris. He gained its first price in 1921. In 1932, it created the Concerto for two pianos of Poulenc with the type-setter. He was also the first French pianist, expressly chosen by Ravel, to play the Concerto for the left hand . Its discs are mainly devoted to the French Musique; he received the Grand Prix of the Disc of the Académie Charles-Cross-country race in 1963 for his recording of work for piano of Ravel. He is the son of the type-setter Henry February.
