Jacques Deval
Jacques Deval (pseudonym of Jacques Boularan ), born with Paris the June 27th 1890 (and not 1895) and died in Paris the December 19th 1972, is a Dramaturge and Réalisateur French.
He is the author of many parts of Théâtre of which much was adapted to the Cinéma or the Télévision, in particular in the emission With the theater this evening . Most famous is without question Tovaritch , created in 1933 with Elvire Popesco in the main role, which depicts the vexations of a Russian couple noble emigrated in France after the Révolution of 1917 (the part was adapted in Musical comedy to Broadway in 1963 with Vivien Leigh and Jean-Pierre Aumont).
It also carried out three films.
Jacques Deval is inter alia the father of Gerard de Villiers and Bernard Eschasseriaux.
