Jacques Danes , from the family of Pierre Danes, was born with Paris in 1601, religious French.

He was initially society man, chair accounts, intendant of Languedoc. He married a girl of Jacques-Auguste de Thou; but, having had misfortune to lose it, as well as an only son, sixteen years old, he embraced the ecclesiastical state, and was made, in 1640, bishop of Toulon. Become Valetudinary, it was dislocated of sound évêché in 1656, and died in Paris the June 5th 1662. This prelate, with the most exemplary piety, honoured his ministry by a crowd with good works, by a multitude of useful foundations. One will find, in the collection of Pierre-Hilaire, a Mémoire on the acts of Jacques Danes, bishop of Toulon .
