Jacques Coupet

Jacques Coupet was mayor of 1971 to 1989 and public works contractor. It is at the origin of the creation of the Port of Canet in Roussillon.

Elected in 1971 Mayor of Canet in Roussillon, it will be re-elected easily in 1977 and 1983, candidate in 1989, but carrying the load of a very criticized mandate, it will be beaten by its assistant: Arlette Franco.
