Jacques Cheminade

Jacques Cheminade (born the August 20th 1941 with Argentinian Buenos Aires in ) is a Politician French. He is currently president of the Political party Solidarité and Progrès .

Biography

Cheminade is graduate School of the High commercial studies (HEC Paris) and National school of administration (ENA) promotion Jean Jaurès 1967-1969; he is also bachelor of law.

Of 1969 with 1981, it is Fonctionnaire with the Direction of the economic relations foreign (DREE) of the Ministère of the economy, finances and industry, in station with Paris and New York. In 1977, it meets there Lyndon LaRouche which was at the time the president of the United States Labor Party (USLP). Convictions and engagements

Friend of Lyndon LaRouche, Jacques Cheminade defends “new Bretton Woods” vector of a policy of “public productive Crédit” giving the money to the service of the infrastructures, human work and the agricultural productions and industrial. With LaRouche, and in the name of a dialog of cultures and civilizations - contrary to the “Shock of civilizations” of Samuel Huntington - he denounces the “drift néoconservatrice” of the Administration Bush - Dick Cheney and is opposed to the war against the Iraq.

According to its partisans, its engagement for an economic change feeds from a love for humanism. Impassioned of policy, history, culture, poetry and philosophy, it revives in its writings the engagement and the courage of exemplary men: Lazare Carnot, the abbot Gregoire, Jean Jaurès, Louis Pasteur, Charles de Gaulle, Friedrich Schiller, Heinrich Heine, etc For Cheminade, “three currents must converge in France to train a majority of ideas: socialism jaurésien, the social Christianity of Marc Sangnier or the Abbot Bridel, and gaullism of start and rupture”.

To symbolize this convergence and “to mean that we must put a term at the mistakes of the 20th century”, Cheminade requires of the President of the Republic to make transfer to the the Pantheon the captain Alfred Dreyfus like his wife, Lucie Hademard.

It is also a candidate who wanted to present himself to the French presidential election of 2007. But it did not obtain 500 sponsorships necessary to its candidature. Its program is based at the same time on the international policy and the industrial relations policy. He considers that new a Bretton Woods is necessary for a revival. This one would consist in restoring the law of the “State-nations” on the currencies. Its European project would be according to him creator from 5 to 6 million employment in France, within 1 to 2 years. Like Jack Lang, it is thus favorable the creation of a great public service of employment. Candidate of long time

Jacques Cheminade is for the first time candidate with the legislative elections of 1978, in the 25e district of Paris, it obtains 0,12% of the voices.

He does not manage to join together the 500 signatures for the presidential election of 1981.

With 556 sponsorships, he is candidate with the presidential election of 1995 in France, time to which he launches his movement Solidarité and Progrès . Unknown of the general public, it obtains 0,27% of the voices to the first turn.

In 2002, it does not manage to join together the 500 signatures of necessary elected officials with one second candidature (by obtaining only 406), situation allotted to the fact that Nicolas Miguet, itself candidate with presidential of 2002, shows Cheminade to have “a charged police records” and “to appear” in a parliamentary report on the sects. Nicolas Miguet will be condemned thereafter.

In 2004, its list Nouvelle Solidarity collects 3130 votes (0,11%) with the European elections in Ile-de-France. In 2005, it actively makes countryside for “not” with the referendum of May 29th, while proposing “other Europe”.

December 25th, 2005, he announces his candidature for the French presidential election of 2007. Finally, joining together only 250 elected signatures of , Cheminade is not qualified like candidate. April 14th, 2007, in a “vote of reason”, he states to vote for Ségolène Royal as of the first turn.

Legal affairs

In June 1992, Jacques Cheminade is condemned by the Court of Bankruptcy of Paris to fifteen months of suspended sentence on the charge to have pushed an old woman to give 1 197 000 Francs with the POE and close associations. For Solidarity and progress , it is of a “juridico-financial trap” and a “crooked blow”. The judgment is amnestied by the law of August 3rd, 1995.

October 11th, 1995, the Constitutional council rejects the accounts of countryside of Jacques Cheminade for the presidential election of 1995, depriving it entirely of the refunding of the expenses of countryside. In August 1996, its goods are seized. For Solidarity and Progress as for Jacques Robert, a former judge of the Constitutional council, this sanction is of political nature.

April 29th, 2003, the Court of Bankruptcy of Paris (17th Room) condemns Nicolas Miguet, publication director of the magazine Hebdo (in the past Minute Hebdo ), to pay the sum of 7500 euros as Damages, to have defamed Jacques Cheminade publicly (see above: candidate with the presidential election). The court underlines the “bad characterized faith” of the slanderer.

September 21st, 2004, the magistrates' court of Lyon condemns Jacques Cheminade to 15.000 euros of fine for public slandering towards Dominique Perben. A candidate of its movement had juxtaposed the photograph of the Minister of Justice tightening the hand of the American Attorney General John Ashcroft, (author of the laws “liberticides” Patriot II ) with that of Pétain tightening the hand of Hitler on October 24th, 1940 with Montoire-on-the-Dormouse. This judgment is confirmed on February 9th, 2005 by the Court of Appeal of Lyon.

July 31st, 2006, an usher required by the State carries out the seizure-attribution of the bank account of Jacques Cheminade, intended to feed his account of countryside for 2007. The Treasury claims the refunding of the 171 525,46 €, representing the refunding of the advance authorized by the State in its favor (a million francs, more of the former expenses) to the title of the presidential election of 1995, following the invalidation of the accounts of countryside.
