Jacques Blanchard , French painter, born with Paris in 1600, died as of 1638.

It took for model the Titien, the Tintoret and Paul Véronèse, of which it had studied the works in Italy, and became thus excellent colourist. It carried out a ceiling with Versailles, and a gallery with the hotel Bullion.

Its chiefs of work are:

  • descent of the Holy Spirit
  • Saint-Andrew with knees in front of its cross .

It was called the French Titien .
