Jacques Béjart was a French actor, baptized the February 11th 1622 with Paris. It belonged to the Famille Béjart, celebrates family of actors of the 17th century.
One knows nothing more on his life.
The article which devotes to him Pierre Larousse in his Grand Universal Dictionary of the 19th century is an error: there is a confusion between Jacques and his Joseph older brother. It is the latter which was stammerer and who died after a representation of the Thoughtless one or the Hitches. The same it was Joseph the author of Recueil of the titles, qualities, blazons and armorial bearings of the prelates and barons of the states of Languedoc in 1634 .
