Jacques Auxiette

Jacques Auxiette is a man Politique French (PS), born the December 3rd 1940 with Montlevicq (Indre).

Formation

It carries out its primary and secondary studies with Montlucon (Allier), then higher learning at the University of Clermont-Ferrand, where it obtains a license of sciences and a diploma of higher learning of mathematics.

It settles in the Vendée in 1964, with the Roche-sur-Yon where it is named mathematics professor. After a stay in co-operation in Tunisia (1967 - 1969), it returns with the Roche-sur-Yon, where he is successively mathematics professor, then critic (1972 - 1983) and finally headmaster (1983 - 1998) in a public lycée of the city.

Political course

Initially militant of UNEF, Jacques Auxiette begins his political career with the Roche-sur-Yon in 1970 while entering to PSU. In 1973 it adheres to the PS and becomes secretary of the section of the Roche-sur-Yon. It reaches in 1986 the post of first federal secretary for the the Vendée, station which it will occupy until in 1990.

In 1977, it is elected mayor of the Roche-sur-Yon, with the head of a list of the plain left. Of 1979 with 1985, he is general adviser of the northern canton of the Roche-sur-Yon.

It sits at the district council of the Pays of the Loire starting from 1979, and preserves its mandate of mayor until in 2004, year when it carries the presidency of the area. It then leaves its place of mayor with Pierre Regnault, while remaining city council man.

He was also administrator of ENA (1983 - 1987), president of GART (Grouping of the Authorities Responsible for Transport) of 1989 with 2001.
