Jacques Alexandre Romeuf

Jacques Alexandre Romeuf, born in Lavoûte-Chilhac (Haute-Loire) the 11/19/1772, deceased in Paris the 4/26/1845 Fayette place Jacques Alexandre Romeuf, seventeen years old like aide-de-camp to the national guard. In 1791, it is promoted lieutenant. It is taken by the Austrians with Fayette in August 1792. In 1793, with his Jean-Louis brother, it is in London.

Under the Directory

Of return in France in 1797, it took again its service in the army. Aide-de-camp of the lieutenant-general Dumas (the father of Alexandre), adjudant-general in 1810, he becomes brigadier general on the battle field of Moskowa (1812) while a ball carries his/her Jean-Louis brother.

Rejoined with the Restoration, it orders successively the battalions of the Haute-Loire, of the Loire, of the Rhone, Allier and of the Gold Coast.
