Jacques Alexandre Allix of Be worth
Jacques Alexandre François Allix of Be worth, count de Freudenthal , born the December 21st 1768 with Percy, in Normandy, and dead the January 26th 1836 with Bazarnes in the commune of Courcelles, is a general of French Empire.
It entered the army at the 16 years age, as raises artillery, was used initially for the Armée with North during the first wars with the Revolution, and was distinguished with the seat from Luxembourg. At twenty years it was Colonel. In the passing of the Large Saint-Bernard, to the attack of Vérone which it carried of attack, and during the Expédition of Santo Domingo, Allix gave the most brilliant evidence of his value and his talents; but the opposition which it showed with the Coup d'etat of the 18 brumaire delayed its advance.
It was used as 1808 with 1814 in Spain near king Joseph, and only returned to France to fight the allies.
Created brigadier general on November 28th, 1813, it drove out the Austrians and the Cossacks of the Forêt of Fontainebleau the February 18th 1814 then, the 26, it saved the town of Sens, which was worth to him to be promoted divisional on March 17th, 1814.
Indicated with the command of the 1st Division of the 1st Body of the Armed with North in 1815, under the orders of Drouet d' Erlon on May 26th, 1815, it could not join its station, and could not thus be used for Waterloo. After this battle, it was charged to strengthen Saint-Denis and made an impregnable position of it.
Exiled by the ordinance of the July 24th 1815, the Allix general took refuge in Westphalia, where it published a work on the system of the world. Authorized to return to France on December 23rd, 1818, it was restored on the list of the general lieutenants in non-activity (without treatment) on January 1st, 1819. He was declared reprocessed by ordinance of April 29th, 1834.
