Jacques-Henry Rys

Jacques-Henry Rys (1909-1960) is a leader and type-setter French.

  • Jacques-Henry Rys was, at the end of the years 1940 and during the years 1950, a leader of light music famous, which directed many recordings for the large high-speed motorboats of the song of the time, in particular Luis Mariano, Andrex, Yvette Giraud. He also assumed the direction of many variety programmes to the radio.

  • Jacques-Henry Rys was also pointed out for the quality of the orchestrations of the first operettas of Francis Lopez, which contributed to the success of those: the Beautiful one of Cadiz (1945) from which it directed the first representations to the Montparnasse Casino, Andalusia (1947), Four days in Paris (1948), Mr Burgundy (1949), the flowered Road (1952), Tête of Linnet (in collaboration with Paul Bonneau, 1957).
  • At the request of Germaine Roger, director of Gaîté-Lyric, Jacques-Henry Rys wrote the musical partition of two operettas to success: Colorado in 1950, and Pampanilla in 1954. He collaborated with Henri Bourtayre in the composition of the operetta the Knights of the sky (1955).

Jacques-Henri Rys is prematurely deceased in 1960, at the 51 years age.
