Jacqueline Audry
Jacqueline Audry is a director French, born the September 25th 1908 with Orange in the Vaucluse and died the June 22nd 1977 with Poissy in the Yvelines (road accident). A long time scripte then assistant of prestigious directors (Pabst, Delannoy, max Ophuls), it carries out its first short film in 1943 ( Horses of Vercors ), two years before its first length, Misfortunes of Sophie .
Large admiror of Colette, it adapts several of her novels between 1949 and 1956 ( Gigi , Minne, the ingenuous libertine and Mitsou . After Colette, she " attaque" also with Sartre ( Door - closed ), Andre Pieyre de Mandiargues ( the Lily of the sea ) and his/her own sister, Colette Audry ( bitter Fruits , adaptation of the part Soledad ).
The majority of its films are dialogued by her husband, Pierre Laroche.
