Jacopo Zucchi , Italian painter , born in the 16th century with Florence, was pupil of Vasari.
Be-come with Rome towards 1572, it found there in the cardinal Ferdinand de Médicis a guard full with zeal, and which provides him the means of being made known. It carried out for its owner a table representing the Pêche of the coral , in which it placed the portraits of the Roman smart ladieies. The success which this table obtained made the fortune of the artist. It was in charge of several great works, and died very rich towards 1590. In addition to frescos with the the Vatican and in several churches, one quotes of him a Saint-Gregoire celebrating the mass, table in which, by a voluntary anachronism, it represented the interior of the church of Saint-Pierre and the principal members of crowned college, in the medium of which one distinguishes the cardinal from Médicis.
